Dangerous driving by VicPD

In addition to VicPD intentionally hitting people with cars, FOI records also turned up other examples of dangerous driving. First up, here’s a report on an officer who was driving 80 km/hr on Dallas Road, lost control, and drove on the sidewalk for 19 metres.

In this one, an officer drove so quickly to try to get into the courtyard of a BC Housing site they “sheared [a bollard] off its socket” and left their car undriveable. Don’t speed into courtyards. People live there.

A VicPD officer also damaged their car trying to shortcut through these bollards at the end of Collinson.

Here an officer blocked a bike lane, and a cyclist ran into their car.

In this report, an officer jokes about his colleague running over and killing three seagulls because he was driving so fast he couldn’t see or slow down for 100 birds. The officer writing the report signs off with bonus joke pronouns. Cool stuff for an official police report.
